Half of My Heart - John Mayer (ft Taylor Swift)

I’m probably going to be judged hardcore for saying this (like I got judged today for wearing skinny jeans and my furry boots) but this song is genius. I’m addicted to it. I should just give up and put it on repeat. I think it’s genius because it made me think; to have a revelation while I was cleaning my bathroom.

Half of a heart isn’t enough. No one should EVER settle for half a heart. I will never settle for half a heart and I hope that my friends will NEVER settle for half a heart. Love should be a sure thing. Love is when you trust someone enough to hand over your heart to them and trust them not to break it. What good is half of a heart? Who would want half of a heart? I deserve more than half a heart.

Hilary deserves more than half a heart. Hilary deserves everything this world can give her, and then some. There are minutes of my day where I can’t believe that I got this lucky. I have a best friend who would do anything for me. I have a best friend who will tell me when I am being stupid. She always tells me what I need to hear and she isn’t afraid to hurt my feelings. I hope she knows how much that means to me. When I’m around her, I never feel like I have to edit myself. I tell her what I think. It might not be what she wants to hear, but she’s going  to heart it. I give her what and who I am with no doubt that at the end of the day she’ll love me. That is the most amazing feeling. One thing’s for sure, she already has a whole heart; and that’s mine. 

Jaimie deserves more than half a heart. I can’t begin to express how much she deserves someones whole heart. I have never met such a positive, happy, caring person in my life! Jaimie puts her heart into everything she does! She cares so deeply for everyone in her life and gives new meaning to the phrase “love your enemy” and would never wish hurt on anyone. She’s such a positive influence, not only for me, but for everyone. Some guy is going to hit the jackpot with Jaimie Michelle! Jaimie, don’t ever settle for half a heart, you deserve everything that a boy can give you. And someday, you’re going to find that boy! :)

I tried to think of the people who I have honestly given my whole heart. There are three. They are the people who love me unconditionally. I don’t have to hide anything from them. I can take them whatever mistake or thought I have and they will still love me.

My other revelation from this song is love takes time. You have to allow yourself time to get to know a person before you can truly give them your whole heart, and then you have to allow yourself time to fall.

This is going to be one of those boring blogs where I recount my day and ramble on about basically…nothing.

My day was pretty boring. I woke up and went to the dentist (always fun) for a filling. Let’s talk about how when they numb my mouth they REALLY numb me. Most people have sensation back within about an hour and a half. I was numbed at 11 and at 4 I was still numb! So, when I ate my lunch around 12:30 I couldn’t tell that while I was chewing my food I was apparently also chewing on my tongue. NEAT! So now it hurts to talk, drink and eat! And those are three of my favorite things to do so right now I’m pretty miserable!

Then I went to class. Fun.

After class I decided to drive around and look for some good places for pictures. I’ll be taking pictures of my good friend Katie and her boyfriend Matt soon after I get my new camera! I found a really cool alley downtown and a brick road in a really old cemetery. Is it okay to take pictures in a cemetery or is that like, really disrespectful? I haven’t decided if I’ll use that spot or not. We’ll take some at Truman and Red Barn Park like everyone does and then out at my Uncles farm. I have some really neat ideas that I can’t wait to try out with them. Tomorrow (after I get paid) I’m going to go antiquing! I’m looking for a really old chair to use for pictures and maybe some other props. I’m planning on painting the chair all sorts of different colors and then sanding it down so you can see all the different layers of paint.

My friend Jaimie sent me a website today for inspiration! I’ve looked through it a lot today! It’s called Smug Mug I’m ALWAYS looking for inspiration and ideas so that was really cool of her! Thanks Jaimie!

It’s my first night off in a week and I finally got to have a good long conversation with my Hilly! It was an interesting one! Nora and Kitty just went on their man fast on Brothers and Sisters. I miss Hilary and my man fast. Unfortunately she cheated BIG time and I’m still on it! It’s really no fun being on a man fast by yourself. Now she goes and hangs out with her person and I get to hang out with The Walkers, Dr. House, Meredith Grey, The Glee Club, and other’s by myself. Oh…and work. I get to work while Hilary is NOT being on a man fast. Yay for me!

Anyways, after my scavenger hunt of sorts I came home and have been redesigning my tumblelog (still in progress) watching Brothers and Sisters. A little while ago I had to run in town to take the closers at Subway a key. Apparently they didn’t think about the fact they might need a key until they closed at 10. Smart! Neat.

Well…I’m going to finish redesigning my tumblelog (which I’m obsessed with) and go to bed. G’night Bloggers!
